Summary: EagleSwap.net markets itself as a "privacy focused" no-KYC swap service. In October 2026 it froze a user's ~$80,000 deposit and refused to refund it, citing a "law enforcement investigation" with no verifiable evidence. Their own forum posts from September 2026 prove they knew this could happen and explicitly promised users it wouldn't.

What happened:
A user sent ~$80K USD worth of crypto to EagleSwap based on their "non-KYC / never freeze" marketing. The swap was frozen. Support gave only "it's under investigation, we can't speak about it." The funds have not moved.

No case number, no agency name, no legal basis, no timeline has been provided.

The smoking gun their own words:

On September 7, 2026, TryNinja asked EagleSwap in their ANN thread exactly what happens if a third-party liquidity provider blocks funds and demands documents:

EagleSwap replied:

"Yes they are, there is 0 risk for KYC on our platform. However we do AML checks, which means that we don't process high risk deposits and they will be refunded to user."

That promise is now broken. Flagged deposit → not refunded → frozen indefinitely.

The contradictions, in their own posts:

1. "We don't have our own liquidity, instead we use 3rd party liquidity" (Sept 7) while branding themselves "privacy focused."

2. "There is 0 risk for KYC on our platform" (Sept 7) vs. funds held pending an AML/theft investigation (Oct).

3. Flagged deposits "will be refunded to user" (Sept 7) vs. "the funds will stay frozen until law enforcement reaches a decision" (Oct).

4. "Our providers don't run KYC... nor hold funds over risk scores" (Oct) vs. their provider literally holding the funds (Oct).

5. Their Terms of Use only promise refunds where "technically and legally possible" the opposite of the "0 risk" marketing, as hosemary pointed out on day one:

What the victim is asking for:
- Complete the swap or refund the funds to the sending address, as promised in writing on Sept 7; or
- Provide verifiable proof: case number, agency name, legal authority, and a written commitment to return funds if the theft claim fails.

Conclusion:
If a service depends on third-party liquidity providers, it cannot guarantee "no KYC" or "never freezes" and EagleSwap's own dispute response admits the freeze decision wasn't even theirs. Privacy marketing you can't deliver isn't a philosophy, it's false advertising. Until the funds are returned, users should assume large deposits to EagleSwap can be frozen with no recourse and no evidence.
